About DBSA

The Depression and Bipolar Support Alliance (DBSA) is the leading peer-directed national organization focusing on the two most prevalent mental health conditions, depression and bipolar disorder, which affect more than 21 million Americans.

With chapters and groups all over the country, all DBSA meetings provide a
drop-in, free and confidential space for those seeking to connect with others
and take part in a group support system. It is a great place for people who are living with mood disorders to regain self-confidence, find emotional support and simply be among people who understand. You are welcome to participate and share, or just come to listen.

The mission of DBSA Chicago Loop Chapter is to provide support and education for people who have lived experience with mental health issues, and the family and friends who support them in their wellness. To that end, our meetings are open to all and are drop-in at no cost. Peer support facilitators are volunteers and the room where we meet is donated by the First United Methodist Church.

However, the Chicago Loop Chapter does have some modest needs for funds- annual chapter dues, room supplies, website fees, and other miscellaneous costs. If you feel moved to donate we would greatly appreciate your help.

DBSA Chicago Loop is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. Gifts are 100% tax deductible.

If you'd like to donate online, simply click the Donate button and follow the instructions on the PayPal page that appears. You can pay by credit card or with a PayPal account.

Cash donations are also welcome. Contact us for more information.
